The Eone is based on the open source principle. We provide the hardware so you can build a cheap and reliable electric paramotor. The drive unit is designed for a 12090 or 12100 outrunner brushless motor. With a 12090 the Eone has roughly the same power as a Polini Thor 100. The propeller hub has the same measurements as the most common paramotors, which gives you the freedom to experiment with other propellers. We recommend the Hélices E-Props. They are perfec for the Eone. Lightweight, quiet and with low air resistance.
Mounting the Eone on an standard frame is relatively easy. All dimensions are made like most traditional paramotor engines. Even the depth, from the back plate to the prop hub. The mounting holes for the frame are versatile and provides a great flexibility when installing the Eone on to the frame.
Looks great. As I see it, you could save a lot of weight and material by making a backplate to support it all... like the Eone. In your design it is the frontplate that are supporting the entire load. Probably why you had to make it that thick.
Hi Bo , thanks why I like your design , the C12090 motor is the new chosen direction and once Its returned I aim to base power unit on your design, will post all my project notes here and any drawing if your happy for me to do so , just my way of sharing the knowledge as it wer.. cant wait to cut metal once its back
Mind you there is one aspect that I need to investigate and that is the connection diagram ,after my holiday will submit my thoughts on this regarding cable sizes, actual ESC spec, Throttle Controller ( and my build Photos), so I need to produce a connection diagram of sorts for you guys to critique and let me know if I have missed something ( that may be ESC blow up paranoia kicking in LOL )
Someone's been busy , Great work guys look forward to seeing more E-one Work in progress and Projects joining the E-Family ..Will you Create / Publish a price list for Spares or people who want stage Build , Fantastic News and progress Bo and your crew :-0
Hiya good buddy , the main thing for me is the belt , My main gear and smaller motor gears had some Nicks in the teeth these have since been polished out but need to see if they will impact on the drive belt with proper testing and general use , so for me another belt as spare will be my 1st port of call spares wise its not shown on diagram though ..Thanks Bo
I strongly support using as many standard components as possible to ensure cheap prices and availability. This is also the case with the Eone belt drive. For example, here is a link to a UK seller on ebay. The belt for the Eone is with 9 ribs.
