I myself am an electrical machine (motor) engineer working in drone engineering (design, prototyping, electrical/power and testing). Besides that, I am also a paraglider pilot.
Like very many other things related to electrical propulsion, I have the DIY electric PPG in mind for some time and have done deep online search in this field. I am well aware of latest tech in the field of electric propulsion systems for drones, UAVs, RC hobby in general.
My main goal is to build EPPG DIY-way for the specific flight regime (low altitude cruise flight, 30 min up to 1h), using methods and materials with the best price/performance ratio and making a real thing that is based on ENGINEERING.
I have no interest in ready to fly WAY overpriced high-end solutions a few companies are offering for paragliding world. The time have come when anyone can build almost anything themselves, having fun and gaining new experience during DIY process!
